Tuesday Color Challenge with the Outlawz

Here we are again,  time for the Tuesday Color Challenge with the Outlawz. This week our inspiration was to do a monochromatic color.  I always find these a little harder to do, because I feel bound by the colors.  However, this card was a little different.

We have some lovely digis from Mari Digital Designs to share with you this month! Our sponsor has given us three lovely digis to play with and we will give those digis to our lucky winner!  Please make sure you check out Mari Digis Store to see her wonderful work.

Here was our inspiration for the week.

A few days prior to starting my card, I saw a pretty fall colored paper in my SIL software.  Oh it might be perfect for the challenge.  So I colored up this gorgeous girl in PhotoShop and set about making a pretty card.

I printed the paper with my Cameo and cut the "A Little Note" as well.  The one thing I really like about using my Cameo to make my own papers is I can match the colors perfectly to what is in the paper choice.  I know without a shadow of a doubt that all of my color are spot on matching.  It just happened that the colors in the paper were almost perfect to the colors in the inspiration picture.

This weeks challenge is to use flowers on our projects.  Not a hard sell for me, I am a lover of flowers, and use them on most all of my projects.  So this was easy for me.

This week  I used the Digital Delights Mrs. Luvvy Owl Hearts, isn't she just the cutest?  I colored my image with Photoshop because when I colored her with my colored pencils I could never get just the right  colors I desired.  A super cute image from Digital Delights.

Thinking Of You Digital Postcard

More often than not, I design all of my projects using my Silhouette software, then cut it out with my Cameo. I have a great visual of what my project will look like in the end.  This card was not different, except I ran into problems with the machine.  It could be the new update, or it could be my machine was just rebelling against me and wanted the night off.  So I took a different approach with this adorable little troll.

I colored this image with Photoshop.  I was looking for something very specific and knew that my coloring talents were not there yet.  So digital coloring it was for this pretty little lady.  Not quite the look I was going for with her hair, but I love how her dress turned out

Now, because my machine was giving me grief, and wouldn't cut the papers and designs, I decided to go digital with my card.  Rather than creating a card with the image, I created a digital postcard.  Now, I can send a "Thinking Of You" message to a friend the day I know they need it most.

I still did all of my designing with my software, but rather than do a print and cut, I did a print to PDF.  After than, I did a little magic in Photoshop and I have a fun, bright and colorful digital postcard I can send anytime I feel the need.

Look at this fabulous set of pictures from AJ.  There is so much here to inspire you to create.  Fabulous colors and even some wonderful patterns, and don't forget the flowers.

I drew my inspiration not only from the colors, but also from the many ties hanging on that hanger.  One of the first things I thought of was a masculine card.  I have such a difficult time with masculine cards.  So I did a pinterest search to help me along.  In the end, I came up with this super fast and easy, yet simple card.

A Happy Garden

Good Morning Everyone!!!

I am back again with another fabulous image from Sherri Baldy's collection. Sherri has so many wonderful designs that it is impossible to decide which one to create with each time I make a card.  This little doll is so  cute, and was so much fun to color.  I thought it very fitting for this time of year as many of us are getting our gardens planted and ready to go.

This little cutie I colored with Photoshop, with lots of spring colors.   How fun is that big sun hat with a big bow and lots of flowers?   As you know, I do not add a sentiment to my cards until I need them. This way, any card I make can be used for any occasion.  With Sherri's images, they are perfect for card and any occasion.

Here is what I have done with this fabulous image.

Outlawz Color Challenge ~ May 9

It is that time again for the next Tuesday color Challenge.  This weeks I was honored to use on my of own photographs for the challenge.  But more about that in a minute.  First, let's take a look at the wonderful sponsor for the month of May.

Now on to our challenge this week.  We used one of my own photographs.  This photograph is from one of my early morning walks and the beautiful sunrise.  I took the photo on my cell phone and can't believe how nicely the colors came though.  I thought it was a good choice for a color  challenge where we could chose 3 out of 5 colors.

I tried to use all of the colors from the color pallet, whether it be in her dress or in the card itself.  What a fabulous digi this is.  I found so many ways to use her.

I went with a clean and simple card for this one, I thought she would stand out nicely on a white embossed card.   When I created my card, I did a flip because I did not want her looking off of the card, I wanted her to look toward the embossed flowers.

I hope you like it.  I know I sure do.

Outlawz Tuesday Color Challenge ~ April 18

Welcome back to Color Challenge Tuesday at the Outlaws. This week we have a wonderful sponsor.  Mary Smith at Createful Hearts Digis

For this weeks challenge, we are using a Tic Tac Toe board that design team sister Jeanie and I created.  We are to use any row either horizontal, diagonal, or vertical. However, there is a twist.  Along with the color, you have to use the embellishment as well.

I made this card for a friend for her birthday.  I used every color in the board because I mad my own back ground paper using the Stamping Up Gorgeous Grunge stamp.  A lot of my colors got covered up when I put my digi on, but you can see more of the back ground on the inside of the card as well.

My card has the diagonal line of Lace, Pearls and Bling, as well as the line for the Die Cut, Ribbon (on the inside) and bling line.   I went with the flat flowers because I didn't want to take anything away from the sentiment.

I love how the card turned out. More importantly, my friend loved how the card turned out

Through The Craft Room Door Challenge

Hello again,

Today I am back with a tag I made for the Through The Craft Room Door weekly challenge.  The weeks challenge (April 4 - April 10) is anything goes.  So, I decided to play along this week and make a pretty tag.

I made this tag by first creating the tag in my Silhouette software.  I then simply picked out some laces I thought would look good and glued them to the bottom of the tag.   I followed that up with a vintage picture beneath a brass from K & CO called Life's Journey.  I have had them for a while now and finally exited to use them.  The lace applique is one that I make for my store.   I finished off the tag by adding some Wild Orchid paper roses, and pearls that I picked up at Hobby Lobby.

I am fairly new to tag making, and would love any suggestions you might have.
